All alcohol and tobacco products grow in price in Ukraine

In September 2020, beer, wine, vodka and cigarettes in Ukraine grew in price from September 2019, according to the State Statistics Service.

Over the reporting period, the average price of domestic beer grew by 2.8% (up to UAH 17.53 per 0.5 liter); table wine - by 1.1% (up UAH to 66.82 per 0.75 liter); vodka - by 0.5% (up to UAH 92.55 per 0.5 liter).

Prices for tobacco products grew more significantly over the reporting period. The average price of a pack of Ukrainian filtered cigarettes in September 2020 totalled UAH 41.43 (20 cigarettes), which is 21.9% more expensive than a year earlier, while the average price of a pack of unfiltered cigarettes totalled UAH 37.04 (up 25.4%).

As reported by Ukrinform, consumer prices in Ukraine in September 2020 compared to August 2020 increased by 0.5%, against December 2019 - by 1.7%, against September 2019 - by 2.3%. Between January-September 2020, consumer market prices rose by 2.4% compared to the same period last year.
