Zelensky inspects by-pass road construction near Rivne city

The construction of a bypass road around the city of Rivne is planned to be fully completed next year; the total cost of the work is UAH 830 million.

President Volodymyr Zelensky inspected the construction site during his working trip to Rivne region on October 1, the press service of the head of state reported.

The project provides for the creation of a ring road around the city of Rivne and is being implemented within the framework of the Great Construction national program.

The total estimated cost of the northern bypass road is more than UAH 830 million, of which UAH 310 million was allocated in 2020.

Completion of the construction of the bypass is scheduled for 2021.

The head of state was told that 116 km of roads will be repaired in Rivne region this year, and three weight-in-motion (WIM) devices are being installed in the region.

In addition, Head of Rivne Regional State Administration Vitaliy Koval said that in accordance with the President's instructions given last year, the construction of a road from Rivne to the border with Belarus was almost completed in the region. According to him, several tens of kilometers will be built next year to connect the regional center with the border.
