Ukraine’s underground gas reserves reach 19.5 bcm – Naftogaz

Ukraine has increased the volume of gas in underground storage facilities up to 19.5 billion cubic meters, which is 4 billion cubic meters more than in the same period last year.

CEO of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolyev wrote this on his Facebook page.

“Gas reserves in underground gas storage facilities have already reached 19.5 billion cubic meters, which is 4 billion cubic meters more than last year. Given this, as well as that fact that Naftogaz signed an agreement on guaranteed physical deliveries in Q1 2020, we can state that Ukraine is fully provided with gas for the next winter season,” Kobolyev noted.

Gas injection into storage facilities will last until the start of the heating season, the company added.

As reported, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine plans to accumulate about 20 billion cubic meters of gas to ensure the stable heating season of 2019-2020.
