Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration asks the Cabinet of Ministers to allocate more than UAH 160 million from the state budget for the elimination of the consequences of the May floods.

The head of the Civil Protection Department of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Volodymyr Stebnytsky, told this to Ukrinform’s correspondent by phone.

“Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration after assessing the damage caused by the floods in May sent a letter to the Cabinet of Ministers with a request to allocate about UAH 160 million from the state budget for the elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster. UAH 100 million of these funds will be spent on the restoration of municipal property, and almost UAH 62 million – on the restoration of damaged dams,” Stebnytsky said.

According to him, heavy rains continued in Ivano-Frankivsk region throughout May. As a result, dozens of households were flooded.
