Poroshenko offers Ryanair to create IT hub in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has offered the low-cost airline Ryanair to create an IT hub in Ukraine so that to increase the number and the level of services that the company's aircraft can receive.

He stated this at a meeting with the management of Ryanair on Tuesday, November 20, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Mr. President, I know that your plans include an expansion of Ryanair’s presence [in Ukraine]. I suggest that Ryanair think about creating an IT hub in Ukraine, which we discussed with Mr. Minister [of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan} so that to increase the level of services that Ryanair aircraft can receive," said Poroshenko.

He noted that currently Ryanair operates flights from Boryspil to 12 destinations, from Lviv - to 5 destinations, and prices for low-cost flights are affordable for everyone.

“Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan told me that a ticket costs 5 euros, I visited the website and found it for 9.99 euros, which is higher but also not bad,” Poroshenko noted.

According to him, companies like Ryanair stimulate other companies to improve services and lower prices.

Poroshenko thanked the company Ryanair for rendering services in the Ukrainian market.

"This is the support of Ukraine, and I welcome it very much," said Poroshenko.
