Railway line from Kyiv to Boryspil Airport to be constructed by December 1 - Yevhen Kravtsov

The railway line connecting Kyiv’s central train station with Boryspil Airport will be constructed by December 1, 2018.

Acting Board Chairman of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia Yevhen Kravtsov stated this at a meeting with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, the government’s press service reports.

“The object will be commissioned by December 1. The construction has been launched. We’re negotiating on a type of the station,” Kravtsov said.

In February 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers supported a project developed by Ukrzaliznytsia on the construction of a high-speed railway line to Boryspil Airport. According to the project, the line will be laid from Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station through Vydubychi station to Terminal D of Boryspil Airport. The trip to the airport will take about 35 minutes.

Ukrzaliznytsia plans to use 11 PESA 620m trains for 91 seats and 2 PESA 630m for 192 seats.
