Ukraine should become start-up nation - Groysman

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said he is confident that Ukraine could become a start-up nation.

"Becoming the next start-up nation is a good goal for us, and I am fully confident that it will be achieved. Ukraine has all the prerequisites for achieving this. The government has already started working on supporting new projects that have a chance for global success," he wrote on Facebook.

Groysman also said that he had recently initiated the creation of an innovative government council: "And now, based on the experience of Israel, Turkey and some other countries, we are creating a mechanism for its work. It is also about the state's involvement in financial support for promising start-ups."

At the same time, he said that the main thing was to provide a climate favorable for business development. "Making and teaching the controlling authorities to work on the principle 'to help, not to disturb" is one of the most serious challenges today, and I am doing everything in my power to achieve this," he added.
