Ukrainian Solar Panel Window Blinds project raises over $50,000 on KickStarter

Ukrainian SolarGaps startup in the field of renewable energy– solar energy generating smart blinds – raised more than $50,000 on the KickStarter platform, the needed sum to launch mass production.

As of May 27, the startup raised USD 50,632 with pledged of $50,000 goal. The contributions were made by 207 investors. Eighteen days are still left to back the project, the SolarGaps page on KickStarter says.

The SolarGaps is one of the projects Ukraine will represent at the exhibition of alternative energy in Kazakhstan, Astana Expo 2017.

SolarGaps smart blinds automatically track the sun throughout the day, adjusting position to the optimal angles to generate solar electricity to power devices in your home, apartment or office. The SolarGaps blinds were engineered with features designed for renters, homeowners and small businesses to affordably reduce energy usage, create renewable energy and transition to energy independence. As the engineers claim, the solar energy generating smart blinds will help to reduce apartment, home and/or business electricity bill by up to 70%.
