Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met with his Estonian counterpart Hanno Pevkur in Kyiv to discuss bilateral defense cooperation.

According to Ukrinform, Shmyhal shared details of the meeting on Telegram.

“Estonia is one of our most dedicated allies, and I expressed my gratitude to the people and leadership of this country for their meaningful support. We discussed various aspects of our bilateral defense cooperation, as well as Estonia’s involvement in multilateral international projects,” he wrote.

Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine greatly values Estonia’s leadership role in the IT Coalition.

“This coalition is a powerful tool for financing the digitalization of the Ukrainian army. I also thanked Estonia for its participation in training Ukrainian military personnel,” Shmyhal noted.

He briefed Hanno Pevkur and the Estonian delegation on Ukrainian intelligence concerning the enemy’s future plans, and outlined how, with the backing of its partners, Ukraine is ready to respond.

“Thank you, Estonia, for all your efforts and contributions to our shared success!” Shmyhal added.

As earlier reported by Ukrinform, Shmyhal discussed the creation of joint ventures and reforms within the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with his German counterparts.
