The participation of Ukrainian defense industry enterprises in international exhibitions makes it possible to establish contacts and cooperation. In particular, cooperation with the Turkish side is already ongoing in the field of practical implementation of joint projects and involvement in joint production, meeting the needs of Ukraine.

Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Denys Sharapov told Ukrinform in a comment after visiting one of the Ukrainian stands presented at the International Defence Industry Fair IDEF'23 in Istanbul.

"Even taking into account our war realities, it is important to participate in such exhibitions because they provide an opportunity to establish personal contacts, reach preliminary agreements, and communicate. At such exhibitions, our defense enterprises primarily demonstrate their capabilities and find partners for cooperation and joint production," said the deputy defense minister.

According to him, by participating in exhibitions abroad, defense enterprises also demonstrate to the whole world that the defense industry of Ukraine continues to work and develop.

The official noted that negotiations in the defense sphere were already being conducted in the field of practical implementation, in particular with Turkish partners.

"As we can see from the example of our companies, practical negotiations are already underway, in particular with Turkish partners, on establishing cooperation, involving their capabilities in the production of domestic product samples, and meeting the needs of Ukraine. There is no doubt that communication on such platforms adds efficiency and speeds up the process," the deputy minister noted.
