Yermak: Security assistance to Ukraine increasing

The security assistance of the international partners to Ukraine is not decreasing but, on the contrary, is increasing.

"Don't believe gossips. This [decrease in the pace of arms supplies] is not true. We continue to receive security assistance from our partners. It is not decreasing but, on the contrary, is increasing. This is a very sensitive topic, so, in our opinion, it should be shown by results and victories of our Armed Forces," Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak said at a briefing in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He noted that the topic of providing Ukraine with additional weapons was discussed at today's meeting with foreign policy and security advisers to the heads of state and government of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary. The partners pledged further cooperation in the context of providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with everything necessary, the Head of the President's Office emphasized.

The advisers to the heads of state and government of the mentioned countries also took part in the briefing dedicated to the launch of a new format of interaction – the "Kyiv initiative". It unites Ukraine's immediate neighbors and close partners and is seen as a platform for discussing common security challenges for the Central and Eastern Europe region in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
