Ukraine will get lethal weapons due to $300 mln aid from US

The allocated $300 million in U.S. military assistance to Ukraine will allow obtaining lethal weapons, coastal defense missile systems and anti-ship missiles.

 “Next year, the United States will provide Ukraine with USD 300 million in military assistance. This, in particular, enables us to get lethal weapons, coastal defense missile systems and anti-ship missiles. I am sincerely grateful to our partners!" Defense Minister of Ukraine Andriy Zahorodniuk posted on his Facebook page.

As reported, the US Senate, following the House of Representatives, passed the country's defense budget for next year by a majority vote. In particular, the budget provides for increased defense assistance to Ukraine to the tune up to $300 million, as well as sanctions against Nord Stream 2.
