Danylyuk: Counterintelligence to be priority of Ukraine’s Security Service after reform. Photos

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danylyuk discussed with representatives of the International Advisory Group on Security and Defense Sector Reform the implementation of the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danylyuk met with representatives of the International Advisory Group (IAG) on Security and Defense Sector Reform. During the meeting, the parties discussed, among other things, the implementation of the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine," the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reports.

Danylyuk emphasized that the creation of a powerful Security Service of Ukraine, which will deal, first and foremost, with the task of counterintelligence, is one of the most important priorities now.

In addition, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reminded that the Office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky already elaborates the bills on reforming the Security Service and intelligence agencies.

As noted, the representatives of the International Advisory Group, including members of the European Union Advisory Mission, the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine, the EU Delegation to Ukraine and the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, expressed support for the initiative to reform the security and defense sector bodies and willingness to share international experience in this issue.
