Invaders use grenade launchers in first hours of New Year truce in Donbas

Russian-backed militants opened fire from grenade launchers on the positions of the Ukrainian Joint Forces in the Horlivka sector on Saturday, December 29, the press center of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation has reported.

"Despite the holding of the New Year and [Orthodox] Christmas holidays in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, in accordance with the agreements reached by the Trilateral Contact Group on the introduction by the Joint Forces command of the indefinite ceasefire regime on the entire line of combat clashes with Russian occupation forces, today the enemy opened fire from grenade launchers on the positions of the Joint Forces near the village of Zalizne in the Horlivka sector," the report reads.

The headquarters said there were no losses among Joint Forces servicemen on Saturday.

The command of the Ukrainian Joint Forces introduced an indefinite ceasefire regime on the entire line of combat clashes with Russian occupation troops in Donbas from 00:00 on December 29, 2018.
