Two Ukrainian soldiers wounded in ATO area over past day

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Spokesperson for ATO issues Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a press briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Two servicepersons were wounded in enemy attacks. They were immediately taken to hospitals, needed medical assistance was provided to them,” the spokesperson said.

He also added that Russian-backed militants continued to violate the ceasefire regime and launched 59 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past day. The Ukrainian side retuned fire 24 times, using weapons that are not prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
