Militants launch 55 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 55 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas over the past day.

In Mariupol direction, the enemy launched 28 attacks on ATO troops. The militants shelled Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk), Slavne (25km south-west of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), and Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), using 82mm and 120mm mortars.

Ten ceasefire violations by terrorists were recorded in Donetsk direction. The Russian mercenaries used heavy machine guns and small arms to fire at Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). In addition, the militants shelled Ukrainian positions in Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), using 122mm artillery.

Seventeen more attacks were launched on ATO troops in Luhansk direction. Ukrainian soldiers came under machine gun, grenade launcher and small arms fire near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk).
