Militants launch 72 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 72 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas over the past day.

In Mariupol direction, 43 ceasefire violations by militants were recorded. Ukrainian positions in Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk) came under small arms and grenade launcher fire. The enemy also used 82mm mortars, machine guns, grenade launchers, and tanks to fire at divisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk) and Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol). In Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Ukrainian positions were shelled from 122mm and 152mm artillery.

The terrorists launched 14 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donetsk direction. The invaders used anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, machine guns to shell Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk) and Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk). Ukrainian positions in Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk) came under 82mm and 120mm mortar and small arms fire.

Fifteen more attacks on ATO troops were recorded in Luhansk direction. Russian-backed militants fired at Trokhizbenka (33km north-west of Luhansk), Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), and Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk), using machine guns, grenade launchers, and small arms.
