Militants violate ceasefire in Donbas 35 times in last day

Russian-backed forces violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine 35 times over the past day.

This was reported by the ATO Headquarters press centre.

"In Mariupol direction, the enemy resorted to armed provocations in Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), using 122mm artillery, banned under the Minsk agreements, to shell Ukrainian strongholds. Servicemen in Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk) came under 82mm mortar fire," the report reads.

In Luhansk direction, the militants used grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms to shell Popasna (90 km north-west of Luhansk), Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk).

In Donetsk area, the enemy launched provocative attacks on Ukrainian positions in Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), and Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk).
