Militants launch 46 attacks on ATO troops in eastern Ukraine

Situation in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine remains tense. The pro-Russian militants intensified their activity along the demarcation line at night.

"Forty-six attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were recorded. The enemy used mortars and 122mm and 152 mm artillery," the report reads.

In Donetsk direction, the militants used mortars to shell Ukrainian strongholds near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, the Ukrainian servicemen came under 82mm mortar fire near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and under 120mm mortar fire near Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).
