Militants launch 28 attacks on Ukrainian troops in last day

The pro-Russian militants continue to shell positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas. Twenty-eight enemy attacks were launched over the past day.

"In Donetsk direction, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian strongholds near Avdiyivka [18km north of Donetsk] and Butovka coal mine [11.4km north-west of Donetsk], using the heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and 82 mm mortars," the report reads. It is noted that the terrorists also used automatic grenade launchers to fire at the Ukrainian servicemen outside Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, the enemy shelled the ATO troops near Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), using small arms. The Ukrainian soldiers came under grenade launcher fire near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk).
