Militants shell Ukrainian troops 56 times

The pro-Russian illegal armed groups continue shelling ATO positions in eastern Ukraine. The militants used various weapons to launch 56 attacks on Ukrainian troops over the past day.

"The tensest situation is again observed outside Horlivka [39 km north-east of Donetsk] and in Donetsk suburbs. The enemy used grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns to shell our fortifications near Opytne [11.5km north-west of Donetsk], Avdiyivka [18km north of Donetsk], Marinka [35 km south-west of Donetsk] and Butovka coal mine [11.4km north-west of Donetsk]. The militants launched attacks from mortars outside Pisky [12km north-west of Donetsk]," reads the statement.

The strongholds of the ATO forces in Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) and Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk) were shelled six times from 120mm mortars, prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.
