Militants violate ceasefire 22 times in past day

A considerable decrease in the activity of the pro-Russian illegal armed groups is being observed in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine.

"From 18:00 until midnight, the militants launched 14 attacks against the Ukrainian troops. The vast majority of these attacks was unaimed," reads the statement.

However, in the evening, the militants opened aimed fire from heavy machine guns on the Ukrainian positions near Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk).

The unaimed fire on Ukrainian military positions was recorded outside Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), and Troitske (69km west of Luhansk).

In general, the militants violated ceasefire 22 times over past 24 hours. No shelling has been recorded since midnight.
