Mole case in NABU: Court releases detective Husarov under house arrest

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv changed the preventive measure from arrest without bail to round-the-clock house arrest for Viktor Husarov, a detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

This was reported in a comment to Ukrinform by Olena Chaika, Judge-Spokesperson of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court.

"The trial has been completed. During the court hearing, the prosecutor initiated the issue of changing the preventive measure for suspect Husarov V. from detention to round-the-clock house arrest by filing a corresponding motion, which the investigating judge granted and applied a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest with the imposition of obligations provided for in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine," she said.

As reported by Ukrinform, in July, the SSU announced the detention of an employee of the Central Office of the NABU, who worked in the most elite, classified unit D-2 and allegedly collected data for the Russian FSB on Ukrainian law enforcement officers and other citizens against whom the enemy was planning terrorist attacks and information operations.

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court remanded NABU employee Viktor Husarov, suspected of treason and cooperation with the FSB of the Russian Federation, in custody without the right to bail.
