Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia injures seven, damages nine residential buildings

Russian forces launched a drone attack on Zaporizhzhia overnight, injuring seven people and damaging nine residential buildings in two districts of the city.

According to Ukrinform, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on Telegram.

"Overall, as a result of the enemy's overnight attack, nine residential buildings and several non-residential structures were damaged in the Oleksandrivskyi and Kosmichnyi districts of Zaporizhzhia. Among them are five apartment buildings and four private homes," Fedorov said.

The blast waves shattered windows and damaged roofs.

As of the morning, emergency crews had covered broken windows with OSB boards in five apartment buildings, three private houses, and one non-residential building.

Earlier, Fedorov reported that seven people sought medical assistance following the Russian attack.

Initial emergency response work has already been completed. Further window repairs and protective measures will be carried out upon residents' requests.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian forces launched 931 strikes on 50 settlements across the Zaporizhzhia region over the past day. One person was killed and fourteen others were injured.
