Ammunition for Ukraine: Polish company says it has fulfilled UAH 23B contract
Poland's PHU Lechmar has fully and on time completed a contract with Ukraine's State Border Guard Service to supply ammunition worth UAH 23 billion.
According to Ukrinform, PHU Lechmar spokesperson Karolina Siudyla stated this in an interview with Wprost.
"This contract with the [State] Border Guard Service of Ukraine was fully executed by PHU Lechmar in accordance with the terms of the agreement and within the established schedule. Every item was properly fulfilled, and the contract was formally closed after mutual confirmation that all obligations had been met. There are no unresolved claims, disputes, or unfinished stages of implementation," Siudyla said.
She noted that PHU Lechmar was selected to supply ammunition to the State Border Guard Service due to the company's extensive capabilities.
"Most companies are unable to meet contract requirements in a conflict zone. Strict contractual penalties, complex guarantee systems, and logistics operating under fire – this is an environment that eliminates weaker players. We bear these risks, and we do so effectively," the spokesperson said.
She added that the implementation of the contract was accompanied by active disinformation efforts by Russian intelligence services and attempts to discredit the company's work.
"Russia is waging war on multiple fronts: on the battlefield, in the informational and psychological domains. One of its goals is to discredit Ukraine's supply chains. It is no coincidence that false information about Lechmar, published by Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, appeared on more than 600 pro-Russian websites within just a few hours," Siudyla said.
She added that similar narratives have also begun to appear in Ukrainian information space.
"We are deeply saddened that such content penetrates Ukraine and, regardless of the reasons, harms arms supplies. The enemy is on the other side, and our role is to weaken it by continuously supplying weapons to a country defending its sovereignty and stabilizing NATO's eastern flank," she said.
PHU Lechmar was founded in 2014. Today, its main activity is supplying weapons to Ukraine.
