Russian forces launch another drone attack on Zaporizhzhia, minor among injured

Russian forces have once again attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with drones, causing injuries and damage to civilian property.

Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov reported the attack on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“The enemy continues their attacks on Zaporizhzhia. A Russian drone exploded near a shopping center,” Fedorov wrote.

He initially stated that there were reports of casualties and that emergency services had been dispatched to the scene.

An air raid alert remained in effect across the region.

Fedorov later clarified that a 10-year-old boy and his father were injured in the drone strike.

“The strike hit the roof of a supermarket. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in an apartment in a residential building located opposite the site,” he said.

The 10-year-old suffered an arm injury and was hospitalized. His father was also wounded. Both are receiving medical treatment.

As reported by Ukrinform, drones attacked Zaporizhzhia several times on Saturday. The strikes hit industrial infrastructure and a parking area, while residential buildings were also damaged.
