Ukraine’s forces strike oil facilities in Lomonosov, Leningrad region
Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Petergofskaya oil depot and the Neste oil terminal in the town of Lomonosov in Russia’s Leningrad region.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the operation on Facebook.
Ukrainian forces carried out strikes on a number of important Russian military and logistics facilities on June 5 and during the night of June 6.
In Russia’s Leningrad region, Ukrainian forces struck the Kronstadt Naval Base. Explosions were recorded at the site, and the extent of the damage is being assessed.
Kronstadt serves as the principal hub for the basing, repair, and support of Russia’s Baltic Fleet in the eastern Baltic Sea and also protects the maritime approaches to St. Petersburg.
The Petergofskaya oil depot in Lomonosov was also hit. Strikes on the facility caused explosions and a fire.
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck the Neste oil terminal in Lomonosov. A fire was reported in the terminal area, and the results of the strike are still being clarified. The terminal is a key distribution hub for petroleum products, including gasoline and diesel fuel, in northwestern Russia, with a one-time storage capacity of 40,000 cubic meters of light petroleum products.
The arsenal of the missile weapons, ammunition, and military equipment storage complex of the 1060th Logistics Support Center in the settlement of Bolshaya Izhora, Leningrad region, was also hit. Explosions, secondary detonations, and a fire were recorded at the facility.
Among other targets, Ukrainian forces struck the Ust-Labinsk oil depot in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. A fire was reported at the site, while assessments of the damage and operational impact are ongoing.
The Ust-Labinsk oil depot is an important rear-area hub for the storage and distribution of fuel and lubricants. Through Krasnodar Region’s railway infrastructure, it directly supports Russian troop groupings operating on the southern and eastern fronts.
Ukrainian troops also targeted a command and observation post near Malynivka in Russia’s Belgorod region and a logistics supply depot near Karaiichne in the Russian-occupied part of Luhansk region.
Russian drone control centers were struck near Voskresenka and Odradne in the Donetsk region, as well as near Novofedorivka and Zaliznychne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Strikes were also carried out against concentrations of Russian personnel near Pokrovsk and Rodynske in the Donetsk region, Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, and near Tyotkino and Anatoliivka in Russia’s Kursk region.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian drones flew approximately 1,000 kilometers overnight to strike Russian Navy arsenals and the base in Kronstadt.
