Russian drone strike on food plant in Kyiv region kills four, injures seven
A Russian drone attack on a food processing enterprise in the Brovary district, Kyiv region, on the morning of June 5 has left four people dead and seven injured, while rescuers continue searching for two people believed to be trapped under the rubble.
Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Unfortunately, the number of people killed as a result of the enemy attack on a peaceful enterprise in the Brovary district has increased to four. I extend my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims," Kalashnyk said.
He later reported that seven people had been injured in the attack.
Emergency crews are continuing rescue operations and clearing debris at the site. According to preliminary information, two more people may still be trapped beneath the wreckage.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service released photographs from the scene of the strike on the food industry facility in the Kyiv region.
Emergency rescue work remains ongoing.
Images from the site indicate that the targeted enterprise was the Yahotynske for Children dairy plant.
