Russian shelling damages infrastructure in Zhytomyr region
In the Zhytomyr region, infrastructure and private homes have been damaged as a result of an attack by Russian drones.
This was reported by Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“The enemy is once again striking at logistics infrastructure and private buildings in the north of the region. Air defense forces destroyed many enemy drones, though some of them still caused damage to infrastructure facilities,” the message states.
It is noted that the fires that broke out at the impact sites have been extinguished.
No reports of casualties or injuries resulting from the enemy strikes have been received.
Overnight, the Ukrainian Air Force reported drone activity heading toward Ovruch, Korosten, and Malyn in northern Zhytomyr region.
As reported by Ukrinform, one person was killed and four were injured in the Brovary district of Kyiv region as a result of a Russian drone attack.
