Russia can produce around 120 ballistic missiles per month – Zelensky
Russia is capable of producing around 120 ballistic missiles per month, which enables it to carry out several large-scale mass attacks in addition to its ongoing missile terror, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The head of state made the statement in an address to participants of the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.
"Russia has the capacity to produce around 120 ballistic missiles every month. And that is just ballistic missiles. Russia also produces other types of missiles. This means that every month they can launch several large-scale massive attacks on top of the constant missile terror they already carry out," Zelensky said, noting that this is currently the greatest threat facing the country.
In his address, he also recalled that just yesterday, as a result of one massive Russian attack, 23 people were killed in Ukraine, including children.
"The Russians used a large number of drones – more than 650 during the night and around 100 more during the day," Zelensky said.
As reported, U.S. lawmakers Senator Richard Blumenthal and Congressman Jim Himes said the United States should respond positively to Zelensky's request for additional air defense missiles to protect Kyiv from Russian attacks.
