Death toll from Russian missile strike on Dnipro rises to 16 as rescue operation ends

Search and rescue operations have been completed in a residential neighborhood of Dnipro hit by Russian missiles overnight. The attack killed 16 people and injured 42 others.

Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, provided the update on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Sixteen people killed, 42 injured. Search and rescue operations have been completed in the residential neighborhood of Dnipro that was struck by Russian missiles overnight," Hanzha said.

Among the injured are four children. Three of them remain in hospital, along with 21 adults. Medical teams are providing all necessary care to the victims.

June 3 was earlier declared a day of mourning in Dnipro for those killed in the Russian attack carried out on the night of June 1-2.
