Russian attacks in Kherson region leave one civilian killed, seven more wounded

In the Kherson region, one man was killed and seven civilians were wounded during the day as a result of Russian attacks.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigations have been initiated into the facts of war crimes," the statement said.

According to the investigation, throughout June 1, 2026, the enemy army shelled settlements in the Kherson region using tube and rocket artillery, mortar weapons, and UAVs.

As of 17:30, it was recorded that one person had been killed and seven more had been injured as a result of Russian aggression.

It is noted that, in particular, at night, Russian army soldiers attacked a public transport stop in Shyroka Balka with a drone - at that time, a 62-year-old man was there and suffered injuries incompatible with life.

Also, as a result of artillery shelling and drone attacks during the night and throughout the day in Kherson and Komyshany, seven more civilians were injured.

In addition, private and apartment buildings, a shop premises, a bus, and passenger vehicles were damaged.

As Ukrinform reported, on June 1 in Kherson region, a civilian was killed at a bus stop in the village of Shyroka Balka as a result of a Russian drone attack, and proceedings have been opened.
