Zelensky: SBU strikes Russian military-linked “Metafrax Chemicals” company
The Security Service of Ukraine has struck a key Russian military enterprise, “Metafrax Chemicals,” which is part of the Russian chemical industry.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“I am grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) for striking one of Russia's key military facilities. It is located 1,700 kilometers from our border, in the Perm Krai. Metafrax Chemicals is a key part of Russia's chemical industry,” Zelensky said.
He stated that the plant’s products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities.
“This includes aircraft, drones, rocket engines, and explosives. Production at the plant has now been halted. Our ‘long-range sanctions’ are important. Thank you," the President said.
As reported, the SBU struck an oil refinery and an oil pumping station in Perm, Russia, for the third time.
