Russian shelling in Kharkiv region kills three civilians and injures five over past 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, three civilians were killed and five others were injured in the Kharkiv region as a result of enemy shelling.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 17 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under enemy attack. As a result of the shelling, three people were killed and five were injured,” Syniehubov wrote.

According to him, a 66-year-old man was injured in Zolochiv, and a 52-year-old woman was wounded in the village of Pisky-Radkivski in the Borova community. Additionally, a 46-year-old man was killed in Kivsharivka in the Kupiansk community, and a 78-year-old man was injured in Petrivtsi in the Zolochiv community.

A 53-year-old woman suffered a severe reaction in Bohodukhiv, while in Horokhovatka, Borova Community, a 41-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man were killed, and a 42-year-old woman was injured.

The official noted that the enemy attacked the Nemyshlianskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv with drones.

The Russian army used various types of weapons across the Kharkiv region. Specifically, two Geran-2 UAVs, four Lancet UAVs, and eight Molniya UAVs, as well as 23 FPV drones and seven UAVs of an unidentified type.

As a result of enemy attacks in the region, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed. Specifically, in the Bohodukhiv district, power lines, three private homes, 20 vehicles, eight garages, an administrative building (Bohodukhiv), a vehicle (Zrubanka village), a farm building (Zolochev village), a building (Voskresenivka village), as well as a private house and an apartment building (Petrivka village), a two-family house and a private house, and farm buildings (Lyutivka village).

In the Kupiansk district, a café in Velykyi Burluk and a building in Myrne were damaged.

In the Izyum district, two cars were damaged (in the town of Barvinkove and the village of Horokhovatka), and another one in Slatyne.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 219 people over the past 24 hours. In total, 35,660 people have been registered at the center since it began operations.

As reported, on May 21, Kharkiv and 17 other settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian attack; one man was killed and another was injured.
