Ukrainian drone operators destroy Russian Grad launcher near Huliaipole
FPV drone operators from the Asgard Battalion of the 412th Nemesis Brigade of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces destroyed a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system near Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to Ukrinform, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
“Target detection and battle damage assessment were provided by aerial reconnaissance operators from the 414th Madyar’s Birds Brigade. Following the strike, a powerful secondary detonation of ammunition was recorded,” the statement said.
According to the military, such systems are capable of firing a full salvo of 40 rockets in around 20 seconds, covering an area of up to 20 hectares before quickly changing position. Due to their short deployment time and high mobility, these targets are particularly difficult to destroy.
Despite this, fighters of the 412th Nemesis Brigade have already destroyed 18 enemy multiple launch rocket systems since the beginning of 2026.
As Ukrinform previously reported, soldiers of the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment Raid of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck two Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense systems and one Tunguska missile and gun system at a considerable distance from the frontline during the first six days of May.
