Russian forces hit passenger train in Mykolaiv region

Russian forces carried out a strike on railway infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region, hitting a locomotive and two buffer wagons. No casualties were reported.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Ukrzaliznytsia.

“Enemy forces are once again attacking Ukrzaliznytsia passenger rolling stock – this time in the Mykolaiv region. A locomotive and two buffer wagons were damaged. All people were safe and sustained no injuries,” the statement said.

After the air raid alert ended, a reserve locomotive was found. Trains No. 101/102 Mykolaiv–Lozova and No. 206 Mykolaiv–Kherson departed with delays of 2 hours 11 minutes and 1 hour 11 minutes respectively.

Railway officials urged passengers to remain attentive and follow crew instructions.

As previously reported, a Russian drone also struck a transport infrastructure facility in Snihurivka, Mykolaiv region.
