Russian army drops high-explosive bombs on Kramatorsk: Five dead, five injured
The Russian army dropped three high-explosive aerial bombs on the center of Kramatorsk, killing at least five people killed and injuring five others.
According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Facebook.
He said a rescue operation was ongoing at the site of the Russian airstrike in Kramatorsk. The attack targeted the city center, striking civilians.
"As of now, at least 5 people are reported injured and 5 people killed. My sincere condolences to their families and loved ones. Sadly, the number of casualties may increase," Zelensky said.
Emergency services, including rescuers and medics, are working at the scene.
The strike occurred at around 17:00 on Tuesday. According to regional governor Vadym Filashkin, police, rescue teams, municipal services, and medical personnel are inspecting residential buildings for casualties and assessing the scale of destruction.
