Russian nighttime attack damages high-rise buildings in Odesa, injures civilians
A Russian attack in Odesa has struck residential high-rises in the Khadzhibey district, resulting in injuries.
According to Ukrinform, Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.
“As of this morning, we have information about one casualty—necessary assistance has been provided, and treatment will be outpatient,” he noted.
Lysak clarified that as a result of the nighttime strike, hits were recorded on residential high-rises in the Khadzhibey district.
A total of 126 specialists and 28 pieces of equipment from all emergency and municipal services are working at the sites. Cleanup efforts are ongoing.
Later, Oleh Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, clarified that the number of casualties had risen to two.
“In Odesa, two high-rise residential buildings were damaged by strike drones. Apartments were destroyed at the impact sites, and fires broke out. Two people were injured; they are receiving all necessary assistance,” he noted.
Damage to port infrastructure has also been reported in the region.
An emergency response center has now been set up at the site of one of the attacks, where residents are receiving necessary advice and assistance.
