Syrskyi visits Pokrovsk sector and decides to reinforce units

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, during a working trip to the Pokrovsk sector, discussed the operational situation with commanders, noting that 688 attacks by Russian troops have been recorded since early April, and decided to reinforce Ukrainian units.

According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi reported this on Telegram.

“During my latest working trip, I met with the leadership of our offensive group. I discussed the operational situation, the fulfillment of assigned tasks, and plans for further active operations with Major General Oleh Apostol,” he noted.

Syrskyi reported that he also visited the headquarters of units in the Pokrovsk sector, where Russian occupation forces are exerting the most pressure: “Since early April, a total of 688 enemy attacks have been recorded here.”

The Commander-in-Chief spoke with commanders of corps, military units, and subunits, jointly analyzing the current situation in their areas of responsibility.

“I heard reports on the needs of Ukrainian defenders, proposals to enhance the effectiveness of troop deployment, and to block the enemy’s active operations. I made certain decisions regarding additional support for our units,” the post states.

In addition, Syrskyi visited the Unmanned Systems Forces group, where he discussed several issues with Major Robert Brovdi.

“When the enemy is regrouping and bringing in reserves, the role of the unmanned systems in defeating the occupiers becomes even more critical,” he emphasized.
