Air defense forces neutralize 189 out of 215 Russian drones since yesterday evening
Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 189 of the 215 drones launched by Russian invaders starting from the evening of April 21.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
From 18:00 on Tuesday, April 21, the enemy attacked with 215 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (Russia), and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 140 of them were Shahed-type drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on Wednesday, April 22, air defense shot down or suppressed 189 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Hits by 24 strike UAVs were recorded at 13 locations, along with falling debris at six locations.
The attack is ongoing, with enemy drones still present in the airspace.
As Ukrinform reported, during the night of April 22, a Russian drone struck a railway sorting yard at the Zaporizhzhia-Live station, killing a train driver's assistant.
