Russian forces attempting to open new front sector on Orikhiv axis – Voloshyn
On the Orikhiv axis, Russian troops have intensified assault operations near Shcherbaky and Pavlivka, attempting to expand the frontline.
This was reported to Ukrinform by Vladyslav Voloshyn, Spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the South.
“It is also worth mentioning the Orikhiv axis, where the enemy is trying to open a new sector of the front, carrying out assault operations near the settlement of Shcherbaky,” he said.
According to the spokesperson, Ukrainian forces are already recording combat engagements in this area, indicating increased enemy activity and attempts to widen the combat zone in the Zaporizhzhia region.
“We have also recorded clashes there, as well as near the settlement of Pavlivka – slightly east of Stepnohirsk,” Voloshyn added.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, over the past day, April 19, the enemy twice attempted to advance on the Orikhiv axis in the areas of Pavlivka and Shcherbaky.
