Injury toll from Russian drone strike on baby food plant in Kyiv region rises to nine

The number of people injured in a Russian drone attack on the Yagotynske for Children baby food plant in the Kyiv region has risen to nine, while four people were killed.

Ukraine's National Police said that as of 19:35 on June 5, four employees of the enterprise had been killed and nine others injured in the strike on the facility in the Brovary district.

Seven of the injured were hospitalized. Police also reported that nine vehicles and a private house were damaged in the attack.

In addition, in the Fastiv district, an administrative building belonging to a transport company and 14 buses sustained damage.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the strike on the baby food production plant demonstrated the need to increase pressure on Russia to end its war and turn to diplomacy.

Previous reports said that seven people had been injured and four killed in the Russian drone attack on the food processing enterprise in the Brovary district, while rescuers were searching for two people believed to be trapped under the rubble.
