Authorities urge evacuation of children from Kherson suburbs amid intensified shelling

Authorities in the Kherson community are urging parents to evacuate their children from dangerous suburban areas as Russian shelling intensifies.

Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Russian occupiers are increasing shelling of Kherson's suburbs. Because of this, particularly in the Komyshany district, joint raids are being carried out involving representatives of the city military administration, child services, juvenile prevention units of the National Police, and NGOs. The goal is clear – to convince parents to evacuate children from these deadly dangerous areas," Shanko said.

Officials note that both negotiations with residents and evacuation efforts are taking place under extremely difficult security conditions.

At transit centers, evacuees are registered for financial assistance, provided with food and hygiene kits, and helped to arrange relocation to safer regions.
