Ukrainian Special Forces strike Russia's Rubikon drone base near Mariupol
Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) have released footage showing a strike on a logistics base of Russia's secretive drone technology center Rubikon in occupied Manhush, Donetsk region, carried out overnight on April 17.
The SOF said this in a statement on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
The strike was conducted by middle-strike units. Explosions and large-scale fires were recorded at the site.
The Rubikon center is known to deploy nearly all types of Russian strike and reconnaissance drones against Ukraine's Defense and Security Forces, except for Shahed/Geran-type UAVs.
Among the systems used by the unit are standard and fiber-optic FPV drones, Molniya and Lancet loitering munitions, as well as ZALA, Orlan, and SuperCam reconnaissance UAVs, in addition to naval drones.
"Striking and destroying enemy logistics hubs significantly reduces its combat capability. The SOF continue asymmetric operations aimed at strategically weakening the enemy's ability to wage war against Ukraine," the statement said.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces had struck Podlyot and Nebo-M radar systems, command posts, a boat storage facility, and other logistics assets of the Russian military in temporarily occupied territories and inside Russia.
