Ukraine repositions troops to strengthen defense near Myropilske in Sumy region

Ukraine’s Defense Forces have moved to new defensive positions near the settlement of Myropilske in the Sumy region in order to preserve personnel, the military reports.

According to Ukrinform, this was announced on Telegram by the 14th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The situation in the area of the settlement of Myropilske, Krasnopillia community, Sumy region, remains tense. As a result of intense fighting and the enemy’s superiority in forces and means, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, in order to preserve the lives of personnel, have moved to new prepared defensive lines, where they continue to hold the defense,” the statement said.

The enemy is being targeted with fire by artillery units, unmanned systems units, and other fire assets.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces are maintaining control of the situation, conducting reconnaissance, and are ready for further actions.

The military urges people to rely exclusively on official statements and verified sources of information.

As reported by Ukrinform, the spokesperson for the Joint Forces Grouping, Viktor Tregubov, stated that Russian troops have intensified offensive operations and are attempting to expand their zones of control near the border, advancing in small increments.
