Russian drone attacks police vehicle in Sumy region, leaving one injured

Russian forces struck a police car in Bilopillia, Sumy region, injuring a law enforcement officer. 

The regional police stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, at around 31:00 in the city of Bilopillia, the enemy carried out a targeted drone strike on a police service vehicle. At the time of the attack, the officer was behind the wheel and performing official duties. According to preliminary data, as a result of the drone strike, the officer sustained a non-serious injury," the statement said.

The officer was provided with medical assistance.

The service vehicle suffered significant damage and is no longer usable.

An investigative task force is working at the scene. The attack is being documented as a war crime.

As reported, over the course of a day, from the morning of April 12 to the morning of April 13, Russian forces carried out nearly 60 strikes on 15 settlements across 10 territorial communities in the Sumy region.
