War update: 140 clashes on frontline, Pokrovsk sector remains most active
There have been 140 combat engagements on the front, with the Pokrovsk sector remaining a priority for Russian forces. In this area alone, Russian troops carried out 39 attacks on Ukrainian positions, losing over 150 personnel.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook as of 22:00 on March 25, 2026.
"Since the beginning of the day, there have been a total of 140 combat clashes. The enemy launched 49 airstrikes, dropping 159 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 5,989 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,206 shellings of populated areas and our troops' positions," the statement said.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy conducted 72 shellings, including two using multiple launch rocket systems, and one airstrike with four guided bombs. Two clashes were recorded.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched three attacks near Starytsia and toward Zybyno and Okhrimivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked twice near Pishchane and toward Nova Kruhliakivka; fighting is ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled five assaults near Drobysheve, Lyman, and Kopanka.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops attempted five advances near Zakitne, Riznykivka, Platonivka, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka; two battles are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy made one attempt to improve its position near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 17 assaults near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Novopavlivka, and toward Illinivka and Toretsk; one attack is ongoing.
The Pokrovsk sector saw the heaviest fighting, with 39 attacks near Bilitske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhhorodne, Molodetske, Horikhove, and toward Hryshyne and Shevchenko; one assault continues.
Preliminary estimates indicate that on this axis alone, 118 Russian troops were killed and 33 wounded. Ukrainian forces destroyed 14 vehicles and three shelters, damaged 38 shelters, a UAV control point, two armored fighting vehicles, and six vehicles, and neutralized or suppressed 212 drones of various types.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops launched three attacks near Ternove, Oleksandrohrad, and Krasnohirsk; one is ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, 16 attacks were recorded near Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, and toward Zaliznychne; two assaults continue.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attacked near Prymorske.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, two assaults were carried out toward the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilogrudyi Island; one is ongoing.
No significant changes were reported on other fronts.
As previously reported, the General Staff confirmed a strike on the Novatek-Ust-Luga plant in Russia's Leningrad region.
