Russians destroy building of Hetman National Park in Sumy region

In the settlement of Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy region, the building of the Hetman National Nature Park was destroyed as a result of Russian shelling. 

Suspilne reported this in an article, citing the park's director, Oleksandr Kvarta, according to Ukrinform.

"In Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy region, the building of the Hetman National Nature Park was destroyed. The exhibition center was damaged on March 23 due to Russian shelling," the report stated.

According to Mykhailo Obidets, a leading specialist in environmental education at Hetman Park, ecological and cycling tours, as well as kayaking routes, started from this visitor center.

He noted that towels were displayed there, and there were ancient jugs, irons, and combs. There was also a library, as a school is located nearby. Children often visited, and excursions were organized for kindergartens.

Obidets added that international guests also came for tours.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on March 23, Russian forces struck 26 settlements in the Sumy region, injuring four people.
