Massive attack on Kryvyi Rih: Three infrastructure targets hit, four people injured
Injury toll after the Russian drone attack on Kryvyi Rih has increased to four. One of them is in critical condition.
According to Ukrinform, Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, reported this on Telegram.
According to him, the enemy launched drones in three waves until early morning.
“From 2:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., the enemy carried out a massive Shahed drone attack on Kryvyi Rih in three waves. Our Air Defense Forces shot down nineteen Shaheds, but there were hits at three locations. These were infrastructure facilities. Fires broke out, which have already been extinguished. Unfortunately, four people were injured—men aged 31, 36, 58, and 60,” Vilkul wrote.
He clarified that doctors assess the condition of two of the injured as moderate, another man's symptoms as “mild,” and the oldest man is in critical condition. “He is currently on the operating table; shrapnel has lacerated his abdominal cavity, and doctors are struggling to save his life,” Vilkul added.
As reported, several apartment buildings were damaged in Kryvyi Rih due to the attack. Local authorities quickly set up a support center where people can obtain building materials. Earlier reports indicated two people were wounded in the city as a result of the nighttime shelling, as well as two more due to the aftermath of a follow-up strike in the morning.
