Armed Forces of Ukraine refute reports of Russian troop advances in Vovchansk and Synkivka

Claims regarding Russian troop advances in Vovchansk and Synkivka are unfounded.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Joint Forces Task Force reported this on Telegram.

"In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked positions toward Starytsia, Vovchanskiy Khutory, Zybyne, and Okhrimivka. The occupiers’ assault groups have been repelled. In Vovchansk, the enemy continues to attempt to break through the defenses—our soldiers are holding their positions. Reports of advances in Vovchansk and Synkivka are unfounded," the statement reads.

As noted, the situation in the Velykyi Burluk sector remains largely unchanged. The invaders are amassing forces to resume their offensive.

In the Kupiansk sector, the occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defenses toward Borivska Andriivka, Kupiansk, Novoplatonivka, and Kivsharivka.

In the Lyman sector, assaults were repelled in the areas of Serednye, Stavky, Shyikivka, and Dibrova.

As reported by Ukrinform, 134 clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines over the past day, March 22.
